Faelsafe Life Safety Ltd is extremely experienced in fire suppression services having helped many major companies protect their mission critical systems. We have the experience, track record and technical competence to plan, install and commission many types of suppression systems.

These systems broadly fall into the following groups:
• Argonite
• HFC 227ea
• CO2 flood systems
• Nitrogen
• Watermist
• Oxy-reduct

Gaseous extinguishing systems offer extra peace of mind where buildings contain valuable equipment such as computers, vital communication rooms, data storage or valuable archives. If a fire is detected the gas is discharged throughout the protected space, extinguishing the fire and causing minimum damage to the contents of the room.

Clean agent systems provide electrical non-conductivity, minimal down time to users following a fire and leave no residue, ensuring no clean-up and immediate business continuity.

As part of an annual program of system maintenance, integrity testing of the protected enclosure must be undertaken to ensure that on discharge, the extinguishing agent achieves the correct concentration at the necessary height for the minimum required retention time.

ISO 15004 states that an enclosure protected by a gaseous extinguishing system must be integrity tested on an annual basis or when changes are made to the enclosure boundary such as new cable penetrations.
At Faelsafe Life Safety Ltd we include integrity testing with all the gas suppression/extinguishing systems we design and install.

We carry out integrity testing on a wide range of suppression/extinguishing systems, and annual integrity testing on a wide range of manufacturers systems. We can provide pressure relief dampers if required.
Faelsafe Life Safety Ltd also offers a full room fire sealing service to a guaranteed pass!

FIRE SAFETY ORDER APPROVED BY HOUSE OF LORDS
The law regarding Fire Safety in the UK has dramatically changed. On 1st October 2006 the Regulatory Reform (Fire & Safety) Order, came into force. All existing fire legislation has been repealed, including the Fire Precautions Act 1971, Fire Precautions (workplace) Regulations 1997/99, Management of Health & Safety in the Workplace Regulations 1999, plus 100 pieces of related legislation have been replaced with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order.

Fire certificates are no longer issued but have been replaced with the requirement for fire safety risk assessment. Employers are now solely responsible for fire safety within their workplaces.
The new regulations apply to all workplaces/premises, with only a few exceptions.

We are helping customers with this new legislation. Through many years of experience, we are able to assist you on a consultant basis as well as correcting any remedial work that may have to be carried out following the fire risk assessment.

A dry riser is a main vertical pipe intended to distribute water to multiple levels of a building or structure as a component of the fire suppression systems. The pipe is maintained empty of water.
Any building’s dry risers are vulnerable to neglect, corrosion and vandalism. Which is why it’s crucial to get your dry risers inspected and pressure-tested on a regular basis-to make sure they’ll work when you need them to. In the unfortunate event a large fire occurs, it is fundamentally important the fire brigade can access and use the dry risers in order to tackle a fire.
British Standard 9990/2006 recommends that the system is visually inspected every 6 months and serviced annually to ensure that the equipment is ready for immediate use in an emergency.
Insurance companies have stated that without evidence of a 6 monthly visual inspection and an annual service certificate, insurance coverage may be invalid. Furthermore, if your system fails and it can be demonstrated that this was due to lack of maintenance, you could be exposed to prosecution.
At Faelsafe Life Safety Ltd we employ a trained team of engineers who can test, repair and review an existing riser against the latest standards and fit part replacements where required. For peace of mind choose Faelsafe to inspect and maintain your dry riser.
