Faelsafe SMC Ltd selected at specialist subcontractor to supply, install and commission new fire detection and alarm system to the new Flagship Marks & Spencers store in Solihull, Construction work is continuing apace at Marks and Spencer store in Shirley, Solihull despite the constrictions of lockdown.
The chain, a British favourite and staple of the high street, had announced plans to close its popular Solihull town centre branch back in February but committed to expanding the food hall at Sears Retail Park instead.
It will have 82,000 square feet of floor space and will offer a new clothing department, a large M&S Café and a wider range of food.
M&S previously confirmed: “As part of plans to reorganise our estate in the Midlands, we will be closing the store in Mell Square – we have informed colleagues who will all be moving to our expanded store in Shirley.”
Start date is Mid February 2021
