Faelsafe SMC Ltd have secured the flow monitoring contract of the new watermist installation at 7 high rise buildings in Stevenage.
Following the serious fire in 2005 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harrow_Court_fire Stevenage Council have now procured a state of the art watermist solution from Premiermist UK Ltd. As part of the installation, all electrical works including the mains supplies, UPS terminations and plant room electrical fit out have been awarded to Faelsafe SMC Ltd.
Alongside the electrical installation, Faelsafe SMC Ltd have also secured the flow monitoring of the individual floor levels, offering quick guidance to fire crews as to where the fire/water flow has occurred. As a Kentec Installation Partner, Faelsafe (SMC) Ltd will network the existing Kentec fire system into the new flow monitoring system and provide one human interface in the ground floor lobby.
This type of retrofit installation is becoming popular with the spotlight on Grenfell and the hazards associated with high rise building, this solution is by far the best retrofit solution on the market.
The tight installation program will see the full installation of the 7 blocks within 1 year.
