Meet Rachael, our Office Optimist!

Rachael has over 25 year’s experience of working across the public, voluntary and private sectors with vast knowledge and experience of the skills, education and employment agenda. Rachael began her career as a nursery nurse working for the NHS caring for children aged 0-5 years. She then became an Innovation Wizard! Yes this was actually her job title to manage a learning centre for disadvantaged and vulnerable young people based at the White Rose Shopping Centre in Leeds.

Rachael led on the delivery of a series of award-winning vocational training programmes themed around performing arts. This innovative programme engaged those hard-to-reach young people who struggled to succeed in academic subjects at school. It provided young people with a safe and welcoming learning environment where they  were encouraged to be themselves, to enjoy learning about a subject they loved and to gain support in an alternative learning space to achieve accredited courses.

This amazing experience provided Rachael with ten years of knowledge and skills in how to develop enriched learning opportunities which she now uses within her role at Faelsafe Life Safety Ltd.

Rachael’s is Director of Faelsafe Electrical Ltd, the sister company of Faelsafe Life Safety Ltd, and our Office Manager/Optimist. Her role at Faelsafe includes marketing, HR responsibilities, staff development and training, office management, administration and crucially, the development and support of our Apprenticeship Programme.

Rachael is busy forming strong relationships with the apprenticeship providers, the End-Point Assessment Organisations (EPAO), supporting the apprentices with their learning and gathering evidence for their portfolios. Rachael ensures each apprentice has various opportunities to experience the various aspects of their jobs to enable them to gather evidence of learning through on-the-job training. A significant part of the role is to ensure all the team including our field engineers and management staff, are aware of what the apprenticeships entail and how the whole team can support them on their learning journey.

Rachael places emphasis on celebrating and endorsing the achievements of all our team no matter how small.

From Nursery Nurse to Company Director, Rachael is a huge ambassador for life long learning and how you can chase new learning opportunities at any stage of life!
